Moderate earthquake hits Zakynthos

A moderate earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit the Ionian island of Zakynthos early on Saturday morning, the Athens Observatory reported.

According to reports, the quake’s epicenter was located between the island and the port of Kyllini in western Greece.

Two aftershocks, measuring 3.1 and 2.5 Richter, were recorded on the same day.

No damage or injuries were reported.
