Messolonghi policeman suffers serious gunshot wound while at home
A policeman is being treated at Patra University Hospital after being shot near the heart in what authorities say may be a case of attempted suicide.
The 27-year-old man was shot while at home in Messolonghi. It was not immediately clear how he suffered his serious injury.
He was initially taken to his local hospital but then transferred to Patra due to the grave nature of his wound.
