‘Zero Tolerance Organization’ claims January attack on interior minister’s office

Zero Tolerance Organization claimed responsibility Tuesday for a firebomb attack last month on the Athens office of Interior Minister Yiannis Michelakis, the 19th in a series of bloodless attacks by the urban guerrilla group since 2009, which have chiefly targeted the offices of politicians.

In a letter sent to To Pontiki newspaper, the group called on members of guerrilla groups to oppose plans to turn Domokos Prison in central Greece into a high-security penitentiary where hardened criminals would be held and hailed vows by fugitive November 17 convict Christodoulos Xeros to return to terrorism.

The group dubbed its plan “Revolutionary Calling,” a name used in the proclamations of other organizations including Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire.
