Over 260 kilos of cannabis seized by police in northern Athens
One man was arrested after police in Oropos, northeastern Athens, discovered 263 kilograms of cannabis in a parked van carrying Bulgarian license plates.
The van had been under police surveillance after the department received information regarding a criminal ring transporting drugs in trucks across Europe.
According to reports, the cannabis had been stacked in special compartments, leaving space in the vehicle’s main body for the transportation of legitimate merchandise.
