Supermarket shoppers donate 120 tons of food in March
Supermarket shoppers donated some 120 tons of food during March as part of the program being run by Skai TV and Radio with several stores which is aimed at helping needy citizens.
This takes the total raised by the “All Together, We Can” scheme to 3.1 million tons since it was launched on December 19, 2011.
The program is run in conjunction with a range of supermarkets and the Church of Greece, allowing shoppers to donate goods they have purchased in supermarkets once they have paid for them.
Almost 280 tons was donated between the start of the year and the end of March. The program will continue for the foreseeable future.
