Man shot four times in Mafia-style hit near Athens
Police have launched a large-scale investigation after a 30-year-old man was shot dead in Aghios Dimitrios, southern Athens, in the early hours of Saturday.
Police said the victim was shot four times in the chest, the neck and the head.
According to witnesses, the man was found dead in the middle of the street.
Police, however, suspect that he had tried to escape after investigators found traces of blood inside his car, which was parked nearby.
The name of the victim, a Greek national, was not made public.
