Less frequent trains but more buses for beaches during summer season

Public transport in Athens has moved to a summer timetable, affecting the frequency of all modes apart from connections with Athens International Airport and the capital’s coastal areas.

According to the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA), metro and electric railway trains will run every 7.5 minutes at peak times until the end of July.

From then until mid-August they will run only every 15 minutes. The tram will run every 20 to 25 minutes.

However, there will be an increase in the frequency of buses carrying passengers to the beach on the weekends (lines 171, 304, 305, A1, A2, B2, E22). Call 11185 for more details.
