Greek police report 13,247 arrests in July – fewer than 2013
There were a total of 13,247 arrests around the country in July, according to figures made public on Wednesday by the Greek Police (ELAS).
The number is slightly down on the 13,797 arrests made in July 2013.
ELAS said it solved 2,983 cases last month and cracked 41 gangs.
Among the goods, items and evidence seized were 425 kilos of cannabis, 198,695 euros in cash and 44,185 bootleg CDs and DVDs.
