ADEDY calls 24-hour strike on Tuesday

The civil servants’ umbrella union, ADEDY, is holding a 24-hour strike on Tuesday to protest an Athens court ruling that deemed industrial action organized by the union against the government’s evaluation program to be illegal.

A rally is to begin outside the Supreme Court at 9.30 a.m. on Tuesday, coinciding with a state appeal regarding a previous ruling on Finance Ministry cleaning staff.
