Remote-controlled helicopter carrying explosives blows up in Vouliagmeni

Police forensic officers on Friday were examining the fragments of a remote-controlled miniature helicopter carrying explosives which blew up while in flight in the southern coastal suburb of Vouliagmeni, damaging a parked car but causing no injuries.

Police gave no details of who was suspected of operating the helicopter nor of who the potential target of the device may have been.

According to some local reports, the incident occurred close to the home of Independent Greeks leader Panos Kammenos.
