Boy dies after falling from basketball hoop in Thessaloniki
A 14-year-old Thessaloniki pupil has died after falling from a basketball hoop.
The boy, whose name has not been made public, allegedly ran and launched himself toward a basketball hoop, lost his grip on the rim and fell, suffering severe head injuries.
The 14-year-old was taken to the city’s Papageorgiou hospital where doctors confirmed his death.
The accident happened on Tuesday evening. The school was closed at the time of the accident.
