Lab experiment goes dangerously wrong in Thessaloniki
Seven people were transferred to a Thessaloniki hospital for precautionary reasons on Thursday following an explosion in the food technology department of the northern port’s technical college.
The explosion occurred during the course of an experiment at the department’s laboratory, according to the college’s management, which attributed the blast to a “wrong chemical mix” and said an internal investigation would be carried out to determine the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
