Stoppage on Athens metro, electric railway and tram on Thursday
There will be no metro, electric railway (ISAP) or tram in Athens between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday due to a work stoppage by employees.
Employees will meet to discuss their demand for a new collective contract. The management at STASY, the company that operates fixed track modes of public transport, has so far failed to meet their demand.
The labor groups say they see this as an effort to move workers onto individual contracts that would lead to fewer rights and lower wages.
