Rescuers find climber who fell down Mt Olympus ravine

A 58-year-old mountain climber who went missing on Thursday off the slopes of Mount Olympus was found on Friday near the village of Kalipefki, in the prefecture of Larissa, by rescue workers.

The 58-year-old, who had been with three other climbers when he disappeared, fell into a ravine some 500 meters deep, sources said.

The climber was transferred to a local hospital for treatment to his injuries the extent of which remained unclear.
