Former Greek Labor Minister Vassilis Magginas dies
Former Labor Minister Vassilis Magginas died on Friday at the age of 66.
Magginas had been a New Democracy member since the late 1970s and was first elected as an MP in 1993.
He served as a government spokesman when Constantine Mitsotakis was prime minister and as labor minister between 2006 and 2007, when he resigned after it emerged he did not have the appropriate permit for his home in Koropi, east of Athens, and was employing uninsured immigrants.
Magginas died as a result of severe complications brought on by surgery last week.
