Greek police track down son of murdered woman

Police investigating the murder last week of a 60-year-old teacher found dead in her home in the southern Athenian suburb of Voula on Monday located her 24-year-old son, whom their had been seeking for questioning, in Corinth.

The 60-year-old had been stabbed at least 33 times when she was found in her home’s basement on March 20 and there is reason to believe that the perpetrator tried and failed to burn her body.

Police had been seeking her 24-year-old son, who allegedly suffers from mental health problems, since the start of the investigation.
