Son stabs mother in Athens hotel room
A 38-year-old Russian national was in stable condition at Erythros Stavros Hospital in Athens over the weekend after being repeatedly stabbed by her 20-year-old son.
The incident reportedly occurred early on Friday in a hotel room in Athens in the presence of the victim’s second child, a 10-year-old boy.
The family members were reportedly visiting the capital for a fur trade show.
Early police reports suggested the suspect had a history of mental problems and had been treated at a Russian hospital.
The 10-year-old was taken to Aglaia Kyriakou children’s hospital for observation.
