Woman, 55, charged with defrauding 36 people
A 55-year-old woman suspected of conning 36 people out of a total of 51,000 euros was bailed on Saturday, pending her trial for fraud.
Authorities believe the woman ran the confidence trick, which involved her convincing victims that she was a civil servant able to secure European Union funding for their businesses, since 2011.
