A fireman handles a high-pressure hose during a major operation in northwestern Athens yesterday afternoon to extinguish a fire in a plastics factory warehouse. Over 70 firemen took part in the effort on Dekeleias Street in Menidi, and managed to put out the blaze after an hour and a half. None of the 20 people working in the factory when the fire broke out was hurt, but the building was gutted.
