Greek Orthodox Archbishop of America Demetrios cradles a 2-year-old girl whose father died during the September 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, during a memorial service for the victims held late on Thursday in New York. The ceremony took place on the site once occupied by the Greek church of St NIcholas, under the twin towers. Constructed in 1832 as a residence, the building was converted into a church in 1916.
