Villagers remove mud and stones from the threshold of their houses in the municipality of Pyllini in west central Greece on Saturday. The area, in the hills northeast of Nafpaktos, some 300 kilometers west of Athens, suffered floods after heavy rainfall last week. Parts of the island of Samos, in the eastern Aegean, were also badly affected by floods.
