The pioneering Professor Kickuth
Professor Reinhold Kickuth is a chemist and soil scientist who began his research during the 1960s at the agricultural faculty of Goettingen University in Germany. In 1974 he built the first installation using the root bed system in Germany, for a town of 4,500 inhabitants. He continued his applied research at the University of Kassel, where he set up the Ecological Chemistry Institute and perfected his method. His has 35 patents and has published over 150 scientific papers. His institute is a member of the World University’s Academy of Arts and Sciences and he himself is included in the «Who’s Who in the World.» He has contributed to the design and operation of 1,000 sludge treatment systems around the world, particularly in Germany and Switzerland.
