IOC pleased with olympic works

The visiting head of the IOC coordination commission for the Athens 2004 Olympics, Denis Oswald, who began two days of meetings with Greek officials in Athens yesterday, expressed satisfaction with recent progress in Greece’s preparations, sources said yesterday. Oswald, pictured here with Athens 2004 organizing committee President Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, will meet Prime Minister Costas Simitis today before giving a joint press conference with Angelopoulos-Daskalaki.
