Sunny skies follow storm

The Acropolis, Lycabettus and Mount Hymettus stand crystal-clear yesterday, in one of the finest days of recent weeks following days of strong winds and heavy rain. The weather was less clement in other parts of the country over the weekend, with snowfall and bitter cold in many parts of northern Greece, including the environs of Thessaloniki. Patras was afflicted by a hailstorm, while parts of Crete were without electricity for up to five hours on Saturday morning. Eventually, she went to the KAT Hospital, where gangrene was diagnosed. First, three toes were amputated and then the entire foot.
