GSEE: The board of the General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) has sent a long declaration to the country’s political leadership drawing their attention to the dangers threatening the nation due to the poor handling of the national issue, the mismanagement of problems in society and the fact that the tragic events of the past appear to have been forgotten (…) GSEE underlines the dangers of accepting propaganda regarding peace with communism, emphasizing that peace in society cannot be brought about as long as wealth is ostentatiously concentrated in the hands of the few. FROM THE SOCIAL PAGES: Let’s take a look at the reception given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. to which all the associates of Christian Dior were invited. The hostess was exquisitely dressed in a short gown of black taffeta with a very full skirt and a shawl of the same fabric closely fitted over the shoulders.
