Greeks choose friends over (world-class) sex

People across the world are having sex 97 times a year, on average, while Greeks, if they can be believed, are the European champions and second only to the Americans globally with 117 lovemaking sessions annually, according to the annual global survey of sexual attitudes and behavior conducted by condom maker Durex. In the poll of 18,500 men and women aged 16-55 in 28 countries, Greeks seem to have more than 10 partners through their lives and choose them depending on their character (43 percent). The Americans have sex an average of 124 times a year, followed by the Greeks, South Africans and Croatians (both 116) and New Zealanders (115). However, only 23 percent of Greeks say that having sex is their favorite activity, while 35 percent prefer hanging out with their friends. It’s disgusting, they are just ordinary people with ordinary lives, said Perdita Norris, whose husband Peter is an avid plane spotter and author of a book on military aircraft. He has taken it badly and I worry about their mental health. Greece has disgraced itself.
