Five detained on Rhodes over fraud, drugs charges
Police on Rhodes said Thursday that they have detained five suspected members of a criminal racket that is said to have cloned bank cards to carry out illicit transactions while dealing in drugs on the southern Aegean island.
A raid on a hotel room used by one of the alleged racket members on Wednesday turned up five cloned cards, around 200 grams of cannabis, a smaller amount of cocaine and precision scales. Police are seeking a sixth suspected member.
