Quake measuring 4.1 Richter strikes Ionian Sea
An undersea quake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck in the Ionian Sea shortly after 9.30 a.m. on Friday but there were no reports of injuries or damage.
The quake’s epicenter was located in the seabed, some 94 kilometers southwest of Argostoli, the main port of the island of Cephalonia, according to the National Observatory of Athens.
Cephalonia suffered major infrastructure damage after two strong quakes, measuring 5.7 and 5.8 Richter, hit the island in January and February last year.
