Eleven kilograms of heroin stopped from reaching Italy
Police at the port of Igoumenitsa, western Greece, have arrested a truck driver who tried to smuggle drugs into Italy.
A police X-ray scanner detected 11 kilograms of heroin stuffed into 20 packages hidden in the front section of the truck.
Police arrested the driver, who is of Turkish origin, and confiscated the vehicle.
