Criteria announced for this year’s public sector hirings
The Administrative Reform Ministry published in Monday’s Government Gazette the criteria for the 12,000 public sector hirings it will make this year.
Half of those taken on will be former employees sacked or placed in a labor reserve by the previous government and another 6,000 will be from those who passed the civil service entrance exams (ASEP) between 2009 and 2014.
The extra hirings, which are within the numbers the previous government had agreed with the troika, are expected to cost an extra 23 million euros per year.
