Company targeted following onwer’s tweet

A group of self-styled anarchists allegedly targeted the offices of an information technology company located on Acadimias Street in central Athens last Friday. The unknown perpetrators reportedly caused damage to the premisess before taking responsibility through a post on an anti-establishment website.

The perpetrators accused the company’s owner of “employer's blackmail” following a tweet on June 30, the day of a “Yes” rally on Syntagma Square ahead of the July 5 referendum, in which, allegedly half-jokingly, he urged members of staff to attend the rally in order to get paid.

The tweet caused the reaction of the union of telecommunications and information workers.
