Body of Danish student found in Greece’s Aoos River

A coroner in northwestern Greece was on Monday seeking to determine the exact cause of death of a 29-year-old university student from Denmark whose body was pulled out of the Aoos River near the city of Konitsa on Sunday.

The student, who had been attending the Konitsa Summer School, which is organized by the University of Ioannina, had gone to the river for a swim with another two students, one from Serbia and the other from Latvia.

They told police that they became separated from their friend and later found him dead in the river.
