Committee gives 50 politicians 10 days to explain assets
A group of more than 50 politicians have 10 days to submit additional explanations relating to their declaration of source of wealth (“pothen esches”) forms, a parliamentary committee said on Friday.
The committee asked chartered accountants to probe several cases, including those of Economy Minister Giorgos Stathakis and State Minister Alekos Flambouraris.
The committee aims to determine whether 1 million euros that Stathakis failed to declare in 2012 has been taxed.
