House to vote on lifting Golden Dawn MP’s immunity

The Supreme Court asked Parliament on Friday to decide whether to lift the immunity of Golden Dawn MP Ilias Panayiotaros, who is accused of trying to disrupt a trial in 2011.

Panayiotaros is alleged to have led a group of people that swore and acted aggressively when 39 members of the Greek army’s special forces unit (OYK) went on trial at a Piraeus court for chanting nationalist slogans at a military parade a year earlier.
