TV debts reach 35.4 million euros in 2009-2015 period

According to data provided to Parliament on Friday by Alternate Finance Minister Tryfon Alexiadis, television stations failed to pay 35.4 million euros in debts to the state between 2009 and 2015.

According to Alexiadis’s figures, 15.2 million euros in advertising tax had not been paid, followed by 11.6 million in value-added tax, 6.2 million euros in payroll tax and 2.2 million euros in income tax.

“It is possible that many of these debts are in the process of being settled through payment plans or other schemes,” said Alexiadis.
