Tsipras to meet farmers on Thursday
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was expected to a hold a new round of discussions with representatives of Greek farmers’ unions on Thursday, the ANA-MPA news agency reported.
The meeting was scheduled to take place at Maximos Mansion at 10.30 a.m.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court prosecutor Efterpi Koutzamani on Wednesday ordered judicial authorities across the country to take action against farmers who continued road blockades.
Farmers are protesting at the government’s planned reforms in social security and the tax system.
