Poll shows majority wants new government set-up
Almost six in 10 Greeks, including a third of SYRIZA supporters, would like to see a change in the parties participating in the government, according to an opinion poll by ProRata, published in Efimerida ton Syntakton newspaper on Saturday.
According to the survey, 58 percent favor a change, 31 percent want the SYRIZA-Independent Greeks coalition to remain as it is, while 11 percent did not answer.
Among SYRIZA supporters, 64 percent said they do not want a change but 33 percent said that they do. If there is a change of government, the formation of a unity or ecumenical administration is the most popular alternative.
Just over half of respondents said they would like to see this type of cross-party government. The second most popular choice (9 percent) was a SYRIZA-New Democracy-PASOK-Potami administration.
