Former Laiki executives to be extradited to Cyprus

A council of appeal court judges has decided that two associates of businessman Andreas Vgenopoulos should be extradited to Cyprus, where they are wanted in connection to the collapse of Laiki Bank in 2013.

Vgenopoulos served as the lender’s chairman. Cypriot authorities have charged the two former Laiki executives with a range of offenses connected to the bank’s demise.
