Fugitive with 17 convictions caught in Amfilochia
A 57-year-old fugitive who has been convicted 17 times on charges including fraud, embezzlement, forgery and issuing bogus invoices was to be returned to prison on Thursday following his arrest in the western town of Amfilochia on Wednesday.
The suspect has been handed an array of sentences, including a life term, and has had financial penalties imposed of him in excess of 10 million euros. He was spotted driving through Amfilochia and reported to police who apprehended him in the town center.
