Six suffer breathing problems in bus fire on Crete
A bus was engulfed in flames while traveling on a highway between Iraklio and Aghios Nikolaos, near the Nikos Kazantzakis Airport, on Crete on Tuesday.
Six of the passengers on board – all hotel employees – were rushed to hospital with breathing problems.
No other injuries were reported.
The fire apparently began in the engine but was contained after the driver used a fire extinguisher as several passengers smashed the bus windows to get out.
