Thieves make off with 15 tons of material from old rail station
Police in Aigio in the Peloponnese on Wednesday were investigating the theft of 15 tons of railway infrastructure from the old station at Aigio.
The police discovered that unidentified thieves had removed sections of an old bridge at the site of the old railway station while following up a call from employees of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE).
Investigators believe the thieves broke into the area, which had been fenced off, on Wednesday.
