Turkish jets violate Greek air space

Turkish fighter jets violated Greek air space over the Kalogeroi islands in the southern Aegean on Wednesday.

According to authorities, two F-16s flew over the islands shortly after noon, while a CN-235 aircraft violated Greek air space over the island of Panagia a few minute earlier.

Greece has complained that Turkish overflights have increased in frequency since both countries started participating in NATO patrols in the Aegean aimed at tackling smugglers.
