Woman, 56, seriously injured at Kalymnos port
A 56-year-old female passenger on the Blue Star Paros ferry boat suffered serious leg injuries when she was hit by a truck as she disembarked at the port of Kalymnos on Saturday.
Initial reports suggested the truck’s 35-year-old driver was maneuvering in order to board the vessel when the incident occurred.
The woman was transferred to the Kalymnos health center, where she underwent emergency surgery.
The driver was arrested and charged for causing bodily harm through negligence, while authorities launched an investigation to determine the causes of the accident.
