Andreas Pottakis elected Greek Ombudsman

Lawyer Andreas Pottakis was elected Ombudsman by Greek Parliament’s Speakers’ committee on Wednesday. Twenty-one deputies voted in favor of his election, one voted against while two voted ‘present.’

Pottakis holds a doctorate in constitutional law from the University of Oxford. His father, Yannis Pottakis, is a former minister and PASOK deputy.
