Tight security for upcoming Obama visit
More than 500 US secret service agents were expected to arrive in Athens to participate in a tight security operation in view of Barack Obama’s official visit to the Greek capital on November 15. Meanwhile, over 3,000 Greek policemen were also expected to be deployed for the outgoing US President’s visit.
Security preparations were under way this week with Greek authorities collaborating with their US counterparts.
According to a high-ranking Greek official, a final security plan was expected to be finalized by the end of the week.
