Mitsotakis wraps up mini-Balkan tour

Greek opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected in Serbia Tuesday for talks with the country’s President Tomislav Nikolic, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, and Patriarch Irinej.

During a meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov Monday, both men voiced concern about recent comments by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On top of repeatedly questioning the 1923 Lausanne Treaty, which set the borders of modern Turkey, Erdogan last week threatened to open the gates to Europe for migrants and refugees after the European Parliament voted to suspend EU membership negotiations with Ankara.
