Kyriakos Mitsotakis bids farewell to his father

Opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis posted a childhood photo of himself with his father, Constantine Mitsotakis, who died early on Monday.

“Thank you for everything,” the conservative chief wrote under a holiday picture posted on Facebook.

Constantine Mitsotakis served as prime minister between 1990 and 1993. He retired from active politics in 2004 but remained honorary chairman of the center-right New Democracy party.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis was elected as leader of New Democracy in January 2016.
