Section of lignite processing plant collapses

A section of a lignite processing plant in western Macedonia collapsed on Saturday morning, resulting in the complete destruction of several machines and vehicles vital to its operation.

The lignite processed at the plant supplies Greece’s Public Power Corporation. No one was injured in the collapse.
