Sir Simon Rattle conducts the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra at the packed Herod Atticus Theater under the Acropolis on Saturday, in the celebrated German orchestra’s annual Europa Konzert, which was held this year in Athens to mark the city’s forthcoming hosting of the Olympics. The Europa Konzert commemorates the orchestra’s founding in 1882.
