WWII missile found in Thessaloniki

A road lane in the northern port city of Thessaloniki was closed to traffic Tuesday afternoon after an object suspected of being a World War II-era missile was found by workers during restoration work on a listed building.

The area around the Olympos-Naousa building on Nikis Avenue on the coast of the city was sealed off as mine clearing experts examined the missile that was protruding from the ground in order to decide how best to remove it.
